Services Our Clinic Offers in Bayside

Flexion-Distraction: virtually every movement uses one of the back or adjoining muscles. Back pain sufferers experience numbness, weakness, and reduced functioning of the limbs. Back pain interferes with work, sleep, and relaxation as well. If your injury progresses to the point where the disc material moves into spaces occupied by nerves which will start a cascade of neurological symptoms. Our Flexion/distraction chiropractic table is designed for especially disc herniated symptoms, sciatic pain, and nerve compression as it reduces the pressure of the spinal nerve.

Cold Laser Therapy: an excellent treatment that is often utilized to treat a wide array of conditions and pain. This therapy allows the body to naturally heal itself by utilizing a combination of electric stimulation and cold laser technology. This low-level laser therapy consists of a light-emitting device that can be utilized on many different parts of the body.

In addition to simple back and neck pain, cold laser therapy has been utilized for a number of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, and sprains. The number of conditions that have been notably increased in the usage of this therapy includes carpal tunnel syndrome, wound management, shoulder and neck injuries, muscle and joint pain, as well as a long list of others.

Ultrasound: is a therapy that is utilized in the office to handle injuries related to joints, muscle spasms, as well as most soft tissues. While it shares the same name, this ultrasound is not the same as the type of ultrasound utilized diagnostically to screen internally in the body. This ultrasound creates small sound waves that in effect vibrate and massage soft tissues and muscle.

These sound waves do an excellent job of facilitating the body's healing process in addition to decreasing scar tissue formation. Certain ultrasounds also create a heating effect to help relax the muscles or tightness in the body. This heat combined with the overall features of the ultrasound help to start the healing process at the most basic cellular level speeding up your road to recovery.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF): in a world of quick fixes, invasive procedures, and pharmaceuticals, pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is a non-invasive, sustainable solution to chronic pain and disease. PEMF technology is inspired by nature and backed by science. PEMF optimizes cell functions, initiates the body’s natural healing ability, replenishes cellular energy, and balances the body systems. It does this by using a range of biologically unique frequencies, specific to living organisms.

This process increases cell permeability and maximizes the action potential of every cell. We are only as healthy as our cells, so by optimizing our many cell functions such as transporting nutrients, oxygen, and minerals, and expelling waste, the body is able to do what it was made to do, which is heal and regenerate.

The five vital elements to health are no longer readily available as they once were due to modern civilization. Therefore, we need to supplement with purified water, nutritional supplements, air filtration systems, and PEMF technology. PEMF therapy supplements the natural frequencies we’ve been exposed to and evolved with over millions of years. Modern lifestyle insulates us from these beneficial frequencies as we live in concrete buildings, wear rubber-soled shoes, drive around in cars with rubber tires, and use wifi and cell phones that produce low levels of electromagnetic radiation.

All these factors negatively impact your health, and though we are becoming more aware, the disease is on the rise. Your cells are the foundation of your state of health so it is imperative that you start to address this issue.

Though many people are already taking proactive steps through improved nutrition and exercise, there is a missing piece to the puzzle. PEMF is the missing link. By bathing you in natural cell frequencies it stimulates ion movement, recharging and rejuvenating all 75 trillion cells in your body, helping you achieve optimal health and improved quality of life today and for the future.

HydroMassage Beds: and lounges give patients the benefits of massage, without the inconveniences of getting undressed and being touched by a stranger. Similar to a powerful shower massage without getting wet, HydroMassage water massage uses waves of heated water to provide an innovative experience that’s a great complement to chiropractic care.

Massage: helps with overall wellness and is recognized as an important component of a healthy lifestyle. HydroMassage water massage benefits in chiropractic clinics include provides temporary relief of minor aches and pains, reduces the level of stress and anxiety, deep relaxation provides a feeling of well-being, Increases circulation in local areas where massaged, relieves muscle soreness, stiffness, and tension

Electrical Muscle Stimulation: is an exceptional way to help the body in the healing process. This is accomplished by sending a very small electrical current into the affected soft tissue injury or muscle spasm. The therapy utilizes this current in an effort to help reduce swelling and release trigger points that may have the muscle locked up. It does this by helping the body to release natural relievers of pain often referred to as endorphins.

This is a great therapy if there is a spasm in a back or neck muscle. It works well in relaxing the muscle and allowing it to return to its normal state rather quickly. Short therapy sessions are excellent at facilitating healing from acute and chronic pain.

Manipulation: adjustments, or manipulation as they're sometimes referred to, are the minor movement of vertebrae in the spine. The objective of this movement is to realign vertebrae that have moved out of place for a number of reasons ranging from normal daily activity to trauma such as a car accident.

When these vertebrae are out of place, it has an overall systemic effect from muscular to the central nervous system. Without proper alignment and flow of all nerves and systems in the body from the brain, we can't function at our peak. An adjustment is often a pressure from the chiropractor utilizing the hands or an instrument to move vertebrae.

This happens with a quick movement and is often without discomfort. You may hear a noise that sounds like you're cracking your knuckles referred to as joint cavitation. It is the release of gases such as oxygen and nitrogen from the joint.
